QUALITY FILTRATION, a maker of industrial filtration supplies created by Nashville-based investment fund Mountain Group Capital and filtration veteran Don Stacy, initiated operations in August. Stacy most recently worked for Fleetguard, the filtration unit of Cummins. "Customers are demanding shorter lead-times, broader product lines, better performance and higher quality," Stacy said in a release. "No competitors consistently meet expectations in all four areas, and that is where Quality Filtration comes in.' Mountain Group has one other portfolio company, JIT Services, a vendor-managed-inventory company in Huntsville, Ala.

Quality Filtration is proud to announce the celebration of its first anniversary. Since the company opened its doors in Nashville on April 1, 2005, it has doubled its staff from four to nine employees and forged many excellent customer relationships. The first year was filled with numerous accomplishments, and Quality Filtration looks forward to improving and achieving many more goals in the years to come.
